The Bible Says
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life.” (1 John 5:13) God wants us all to know that we are going to Heaven, but if we expect to get there we must go His way. Jesus said that He is “the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
We Are All Sinners
What does God’s Word teach about this all-important subject? First of all, we are all sinners. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) Those who “come short” (all) will suffer eternal separation from God in Hell.
Christ Died For Our Sins
God does not want anyone to go to Hell, so He sent His only begotten Son to die and pay for our sins. “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” (Romans 5:8-9)
Eternal Life Is God’s Gift
God’s love for us is so great that He made a way for our sins to be forgiven. He offers His forgiveness and salvation freely. “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b) Please note that eternal life is offered to you as a gift. But like all gifts, it is not yours until you receive it. To receive Christ is to receive eternal life and a home in Heaven.
How To Receive Christ
Here is how you may receive Christ. “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:5b) You must turn from your sin (repent) and turn to Jesus to be saved. “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9) You must believe with all your heart, and call on the Lord to save you. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

I know your blood washes away my sins, I repent and ask you now to forgive me of all my sins. Thank you for saving me, in Jesus name. Amen.”
